Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist, EI Home-Based & Pediatric Therapy
Overview
Owns pediatric speech language pathology services for early intervention in the home setting, serving birth to age 3 across Allegheny and Butler counties. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and developmental specialists. Works onsite with flexible scheduling and opportunities for teaching or supervising student clinicians. Brings evidence-based practice to family-centered care and compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and deliver Speech Language Therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, documentation, and discharge planning under the child\'s IFSP
- 2Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine needs for adaptive feeding equipment or AAC devices and coordinate related care
- 3Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure timely completion per program timelines
- 4Provide services in home settings with the ability to schedule evenings and weekends as needed
- 5Contribute to clinical education by supervising or mentoring students and participating in staff meetings
- 6Adhere to safety protocols and HIPAA policies while delivering patient-centered care
- 7Communicate clearly with families and medical teams to align goals and progress
- 8Participate in ongoing professional development through continuing education and workshops
- 9Demonstrate independent growth by applying best practices and evidence-based interventions
- 10Travel locally when required to serve patients and attend meetings
Requirements9
- 1Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program with 3-5 years of pediatric experience
- 2Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathology license in good standing
- 3Experience designing developmental and feeding treatment plans
- 4Ability to schedule EI patients in evenings and weekends as needed
- 5Proficient with electronic documentation and computer systems
- 6Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with clinicians and families
- 7Capacity to perform therapies a minimum of eight hours per day and manage physical demands of the role
- 8Must live in or near Pittsburgh, PA and be willing to travel locally as required
- 9Commitment to HIPAA, best practices, and organizational policies
