Pediatric Developmental Specialist, Early Intervention & Home-Based Services
Overview
Own a Pediatric Developmental Specialist role delivering EI services to birth to age 3 in Allegheny/Butler counties with onsite collaboration and flexible scheduling. Collaborate with therapists across disciplines to ensure evidence-based, HIPAA compliant care in family homes. Office space available for administrative tasks and caseload management. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and deliver EI services following IFSP for patients birth to age 3
- 2Schedule and coordinate patient visits including evenings and weekends as needed
- 3Provide evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, documentation, follow-up and discharge planning
- 4Collaborate with occupational, physical, and speech therapists as part of a multidisciplinary team
- 5Maintain HIPAA compliant documentation and timely completion of all patient records
- 6Communicate clearly with families and medical team members to support patient progress
- 7Participate in mandatory staff meetings and clinical education activities
- 8Support student education as appropriate and participate in additional duties as assigned
- 9Demonstrate independence in professional growth through continuing education or workshops at local or virtual venues
- 10Ensure safety, best practices, and fidelity to evidence-based treatment protocols
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in child development, early intervention, early childhood education, early childhood special education, special education, or family studies
- 23-5 years of experience working directly with children and families
- 3Early Intervention experience preferred
- 4Ability to schedule in evenings/weekends and travel locally as needed
- 5Proficiency with electronic documentation and computer usage
- 6Physical ability to perform developmental services for extended periods and handle equipment and positioning
- 7Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff, families, and medical team
- 8Capacity to develop proficiency in multiple treatment protocols and adapt to client needs
- 9Must reside in Pittsburgh or surrounding areas and be willing to travel within Allegheny/Butler counties
