Overview

Trinity Capital seeks a Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead payroll and benefits operations for a fast-growing workforce of over 100 employees across multiple states. The role ensures regulatory compliance and partners with Finance and HR to deliver accurate people-related financial processes.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Process bi-monthly payroll for all employees timely accurate and in compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies
  • 2Manage off-cycle payrolls including equity vesting bonuses adjustments and terminations
  • 3Maintain payroll internal controls including SOX requirements reconciliations system access reviews and audit-ready documentation
  • 4Collaborate with Finance to perform payroll account reconciliations assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting and ensure payroll inputs are accurate
  • 5Oversee leave administration programs such as FMLA short- and long-term disability parental leave and all time-off plans
  • 6Continuously review and enhance payroll processes and system integrations to improve efficiency accuracy and internal controls
  • 7Prepare and deliver routine and ad hoc payroll and benefit reports and analysis
  • 8Administer benefits programs including open enrollment 401(k) activities annual nondiscrimination testing and support the equity compensation program RSA within Fidelity
  • 9Serve as primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries and provide cross-functional support to Finance and HR
  • 10Handle sensitive employee information with discretion resolve complex payroll discrepancies and communicate effectively with employees and management

Requirements7

  • 1Bachelor’s degree required with preference for Accounting Finance Human Resources or Business Administration
  • 27+ years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration with public company experience preferred
  • 3Familiarity with SOX compliance internal controls and audit requirements related to payroll and benefits
  • 4Experience managing multi-state payroll including tax compliance varying state laws and coordination across hourly and salaried employees
  • 5Proficiency with payroll software Paycor preferred and exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
  • 6Experience administering equity compensation RSA grants vesting forfeitures through payroll and stock brokerage systems
  • 7Ability to lift up to 20 lbs maintain consistent repetitive motion for data entry and sit stand talk use a computer for extended periods
