What You'll Do11
- 1Collect and validate payroll data from timekeeping systems and audit reports before processing
- 2Audit payroll registers to verify accuracy of new hires first paychecks
- 3Resolve issues with terminated employees including final payday compliance
- 4Calculate overtime and premium pay while reviewing payroll data promptly
- 5Answer routine inquiries about deductions garnishments child support and employment verification
- 6Prepare standard and ad hoc reports to maintain data integrity
- 7Process tax adjustments and balance quarterly year-end entries
- 8Assist employees via email or phone regarding payroll matters
- 9Provide support within the payroll department as needed
- 10Handle bi-weekly payroll including time validation salary prorations and PTO payouts
- 11Verify direct deposits and maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with three plus years in multi-state payroll and taxes
- 2Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
- 3Expertise in labor and tax laws fundamental Payroll Professional certification preferred
- 4Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- 5Experience with UKG preferred software
- 6Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- 7Demonstrated relationship-building skills with diverse populations
- 8Proven track record of working in fast-paced environments
- 9Capacity to manage substantial workloads during unexpected circumstances
