What You'll Do9
- 1Own the full patient access lifecycle across inpatient and outpatient settings, from pre-registration through scheduling and intake.
- 2Review AI-generated outputs for patient access tasks, spotting mistakes and delivering clear, structured feedback for model improvement.
- 3Set and enforce standards for registration accuracy, demographic capture, and point-of-service collections, updating policies as needed.
- 4Track and analyze key performance indicators like registration error rates, pre-registration completion, insurance verification accuracy, and front-end denials.
- 5Catch and fix front-end issues that could lead to claim rejections, ensuring clean claims from the very first point of entry.
- 6Partner with billing, clinical, and IT teams to smooth out workflow handoffs and reduce downstream claim errors.
- 7Mentor staff on registration best practices, compliance rules, and EHR system usage, building training materials as needed.
- 8Stay current with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payer-specific requirements, making sure every point-of-service interaction stays compliant.
- 9Document your findings and annotate AI outputs to help build high-quality training datasets.
Requirements8
- 1At least 5 years in patient access, registration, or front-end revenue cycle roles, including 2+ years in a manager or director position.
- 2Solid grasp of pre-registration, insurance verification, scheduling intake, and point-of-service collections in real healthcare settings.
- 3Working knowledge of HIPAA, CMS regulations, and how commercial and government payers operate.
- 4Hands-on experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar EHR systems.
- 5Excellent written and spoken English — you'll be documenting feedback and communicating with research teams.
- 6Keen eye for detail, especially spotting inconsistencies in workflows, data, or AI-generated content.
- 7Self-starter comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- 8Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
