What You'll Do8
- 1Review invention disclosure documents and participate in invention disclosure meetings with clients and inventors
- 2Conduct prior art searches analyze patent references and evaluate patentability
- 3Draft patent applications for complex technologies
- 4Review USPTO office actions develop response strategies conduct examiner interviews and prepare responses
- 5Manage U.S. and foreign patent prosecution dockets
- 6Analyze patents in connection with due diligence and freedom-to-operate analyses
- 7Work closely with attorneys patent agents and technical advisors to develop effective patent strategies
- 8Assist clients in protecting and expanding their intellectual property portfolios
Requirements9
- 1USPTO registration required
- 23+ years of patent prosecution experience in hardware and devices software database technology artificial intelligence wireless technology image and/or signal processing
- 3Technical background in computer science electrical engineering mechanical engineering chemical engineering or related field
- 4Prior law firm experience strongly preferred
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 6Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities
- 7Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- 8Professional demeanor and ability to communicate with sophisticated clients
- 9Collaborative team-oriented environment
Salary Insight
$120 - $220k per year
