Overview

You will provide one-on-one academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to an assigned student at Shrine of St. Anne Catholic School, a K-8 school in Arvada, CO. You work alongside teachers and staff within a faith-filled community. 5+ years of paraprofessional work is not required, but High School Diploma and Catholic faith are essential. You help the student grow in dignity and independence while participating in classroom and school activities. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:50 am to 12:50 pm, with a focus on Catholic education and student development.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Teach and act in accordance with doctrinal and moral teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • 2Provide one-on-one support to an assigned student in academics, behavior, and social-emotional skills.
  • 3Foster a safe, respectful, and faith-filled learning environment aligned with school values.
  • 4Encourage student independence while offering appropriate guidance and support.
  • 5Implement teacher-directed accommodations and individualized learning plans.
  • 6Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student success.
  • 7Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and the principal.
  • 8Participate in Archdiocese of Denver training and school professional development.
  • 9Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records.
  • 10Maintain confidentiality and follow safety and emergency procedures.

Requirements10

  • 1High School Diploma minimum; some college or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2Appropriate training, certification or licensing required.
  • 3Conduct aligns with Catholic doctrine and morals, avoiding discredit or scandal.
