Overview

Paraprofessional role supporting K-12 students with and without disabilities in classroom and non instructional settings. You will assist teachers with individualized materials, behavior data collection, and adaptations under IDEA guidance. Join a collaborative team and help close learning gaps while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build instructional support by implementing teacher designated programs and schedules
  • 2Design and record functional behavior observations to inform strategies
  • 3Assist in preparing materials for special education teachers and adapt content as needed
  • 4Supervise students during non instructional periods and support peer relationships
  • 5Collect data and take anecdotal notes on student progress and behaviors
  • 6Work with a multidisciplinary team including Speech Pathologist, School Psychologist, and Occupational Therapist
  • 7Provide bathroom assistance and support for students as required by IEPs
  • 8Support inclusion and provide accommodations to students with IEPs as directed
  • 9Support teachers in implementing individualized programming and assessments
  • 10Contribute to a positive classroom climate and reinforce appropriate behaviors

Requirements6

  • 1Prior experience with students and comfort working with kids
  • 2Comfortable in classroom settings including with special needs students
  • 3Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided through us)
  • 4Comfort providing bathroom assistance or diaper changes
  • 5Negative TB test result
  • 6Must pass an assessment test or have 60 college units
