Paraprofessional ATTAIN Program
Overview
ATTAIN Program provides individualized instruction for students with global cognitive delays or autism spectrum diagnoses. Supports social emotional needs within a safe inclusive environment. This role involves preparing for classroom events assisting teachers with interventions and serving as a resource person for student progress.
What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare for classroom instructional events and other educational activities
- 2Assist teacher in implementing special strategies based on individual student needs
- 3Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce material
- 4Implement remedial and review exercises as outlined by the teacher
- 5Help students master instructional tasks assigned by teachers
- 6Assist in test taking and provide reading support
- 7Observe and note student performance related to oral communication skills
- 8Implement curriculum modifications designed by professional staff
- 9Accompany students to lunch recess or nurse's office
- 10Assist with non-instructional duties like attendance checking and classroom supervision
- 11Check books and materials and proctor testing

- 1At least one year of relevant experience
- 2Understanding of how children learn
