Own full-cycle case support for a Miami defense litigation practice, managing calendars, e-filings, and discovery across personal injury, employment, and insurance defense cases. What You'll Do10

  • 1Maintain attorney calendars, track hearings, deadlines, and case progress using Clio and Microsoft Outlook.
  • 2E-file documents in state and federal court, ensuring compliance with local rules and deadlines.
  • 3Draft basic pleadings, including EOAs, notices, motions, and discovery under attorney supervision.
  • 4Prepare and organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for trials and mediations.
  • 5Act as liaison between trial teams and external parties like experts and vendors, coordinating information exchange.
  • 6Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories and production requests.
  • 7Assist with mediation and trial preparation, preparing binders, exhibits, and witness materials.
  • 8Support attorneys with administrative tasks: managing case files, scheduling, and coordinating logistics.
  • 9Interface with court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients, ensuring professional communication.
  • 10Prepare responses to discovery and other legal correspondence as needed.

Requirements10

  • 13+ years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in personal injury, employment, or insurance defense.
  • 2Experience with calendaring, docketing, and court filings in state and federal courts.
  • 3Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Clio a plus.
  • 4Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus; Certified Paralegal or Registered Paralegal strongly preferred.
  • 5Ability to type and operate standard office equipment.
  • 6Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • 7Excellent written and verbal communication, interacting professionally with clients, courts, and counsel.
  • 8Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in drafting and proofreading legal documents.
  • 9Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • 10Willingness to undertake additional tasks as requested by attorneys.
