Overview
Assists teachers with one-on-one and small group tutoring in classroom settings at Woodridge and Hillsdale. You will reinforce learning, supervise students, and maintain classroom materials. This part-time role (2 hours/day, 5 days/week) operates within a supportive school district. The position offers a clear pathway for instructional support experience.
What You'll Do8
- 1Tutor individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- 2Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions.
- 3Prepare and maintain classroom materials, attendance records, and student files.
- 4Support direct care and supervision of children as directed by the teacher.
- 5Assist in implementing behavior plans and instructional strategies.
- 6Document student progress and communicate observations to the teacher.
- 7Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- 8Complete required competency exams and maintain First Aid/CPR certification.
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent, plus experience working with students in a classroom setting.
- 2NCLB compliance: 48 college semester units or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam.
- 3Pass the district-approved competency examination.
- 4Valid driver's license may be required.
- 5First Aid/CPR card may be required.
- 6Provide resume with clear evidence of required experience.
