What You'll Do19
- 1Develop design concepts estimates and functional specifications for packaging lines
- 2Interpret mechanical design requirements and customer specifications to ensure realization in packaging system design
- 3Specify purchase installation and commissioning of packaging equipment
- 4Manage onsite construction project coordination and management
- 5Create packaging flow diagrams and material balances
- 6Prepare equipment specification purchase documentation and facility layout surveys
- 7Design packaging matrices and equipment lists
- 8Assist with equipment bid packages and control panel sizing
- 9Produce basis of design documentation and scopes of work
- 10Support manufacturing and packaging design principles including conveyance wrapping bagging filling bottling case packing palletizing
- 11Observe rough-in construction compliance and provide site support
- 12Assist in sanitary design and warehouse layout development
- 13Develop AutoCAD equipment layouts
- 14Research packaging engineering best practices
- 15Support talent growth within organization
- 16Maintain proficiency with MS Office MS Project and AutoCAD
- 17Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- 18Apply intellectual curiosity and a positive team-oriented attitude
- 19Utilize strong problem solving organizing and time management abilities
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in mechanical packaging industrial or manufacturing engineering
- 20-3 years of work experience in scope layout install commissioning of packaging equipment lines
- 3Experience with machine and process design including conveyance wrapping bagging cartoning filling bottling case packing palletizing
- 4Familiarity with packaging engineering best practices
- 5Proficiency with MS Office MS Project and AutoCAD
- 6Excellent communication skills
- 7Strong problem solving organizational and time management abilities
- 8Travel requirement 50 percent onsite construction project coordination
- 9Physical ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- 10Must meet travel requirement visiting project sites and offices
