Packaging Operator, cGMP & Labeling
Overview
You will own the packaging line in a cGMP environment, verifying line clearance, labeling finished products, and preparing them for order fulfillment at a medical device facility. You work alongside quality and production teams to maintain cleanroom standards and complete sterilization documentation. This role offers a contract-to-hire path in Mahwah, NJ with $20/hour pay. You will directly impact product quality and regulatory compliance from day one.
What You'll Do10
- 1Verify line clearance of the packaging area before starting any operation to ensure it is free of previous materials
- 2Label individual and bulk finished products according to established procedures and specifications
- 3Package finished products in boxes, including instructions for use and required labels
- 4Complete all documentation for packaging, labeling, and sterilization accurately and on time
- 5Prepare products for order fulfillment with correct quantities, labels, and configurations
- 6Print labels for final packaging using approved templates and work instructions
- 7Support inspection and quality assurance by following cGMP requirements and documenting observations
- 8Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area, including surfaces, equipment, and materials
- 9Follow cleanroom and medical device handling procedures per company standards
- 10Handle materials and finished goods safely, including moving and staging items
Requirements7
- 11+ years experience in a cGMP environment
- 2Hands-on experience with material handling and packaging operations on a packaging line
- 3Proficiency in label printing for final packaging of finished products
- 4Understanding of manufacturing and labeling processes in a regulated environment
- 5Experience in cleanroom or medical device packaging or assembly
- 6Familiarity with inspection and basic quality assurance practices
- 7Good verbal and written communication skills
