Orthopedic Technician, DME & Clinic Operations
Overview

What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain inventory levels for DME across clinics
- 2Design and prepare fiberglass casts and orthopedic traction equipment per physician direction
- 3Educate patients on cast care, splints, and proper DME usage
- 4Assist Rapid Auth Team to determine patient financial responsibility and communicate it to patients
- 5Manage log sheets and prepare CPS or Spotfire reports to track usage trends
- 6Attend department staff meetings and provide coverage at core clinic locations
- 7Train new staff and act as a resource for clinicians on DME standards
- 8Perform occasional wound care tasks and assist with non-clinical duties as assigned
- 9Process received stock, ensure orderly storage, and report inventory variances to DME Manager
- 10Support inventory reviews and ensure availability for upcoming clinics
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2Completion of Sports Medicine Orthopedic Technician training program or Medical Assistant program or one year of medical facility experience preferred
- 3Knowledge of DME principles, standards, and inventory management
- 4Experience with EMR systems and basic office equipment (fax/copy)
- 5Strong time management and organizational skills
- 6Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality
- 7Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- 8Willingness to travel within the community
- 9Manual dexterity and computer proficiency
- 10Customer service orientation with physicians, staff, and patients
