Overview
Assist physicians and extenders in providing proper medical and clerical support for orthopedic practice locations. Perform procedures such as wound care dressings EKGs suture removal orthopedic casts splints injections vaccines botox phlebotomy PRP ultrasound assistance coordinate patient care prepare and room patients document health records interview patients order radiographs update medical histories educate patients on care ensure inventory stocked prepare exam rooms stock supplies perform travel duties. Unique role differs by allowing ortho techs to act as scribes and requiring travel to satellite locations.

Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Medical Assistant Certification or Athletic Trainer Licensure within 120 days of hire
- 33-5 years experience as Ortho Technician Medical Assistant or Athletic Trainer
- 4Travel capability to satellite locations
- 5CPR and background clearance
- 6Child abuse and act 34 clearance
- 7FBI fingerprinting for criminal background check
- 8Compliance with company privacy policies and HIPAA regulations
- 9Ability to function as scribe when required
- 10Proficiency in clinical documentation systems
