Overview
As an Orthodontic Assistant at Pearls 4 Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics, a part of Lone Peak Dental Group, you will prepare treatment rooms, assist orthodontists, and take X-rays for a busy pediatric practice with over 76 offices across 15 states. What You'll Do7
- 1Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for each patient.
- 2Assist orthodontists during appointments, handing instruments and providing chairside support to maintain smooth patient flow.
- 3Take dental X-rays and ensure images are clear for diagnosis.
- 4Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment, performing routine checks and sterilizations.
- 5Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques, adapting explanations for children and caregivers.
- 6Keep accurate patient records and documentation using Denticon software.
- 7Coordinate with front desk to minimize wait times and ensure a positive experience for every child.
Requirements7
- 12-3+ years of orthodontic assisting experience.
- 2Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
- 3Additional certification or training is a plus.
- 4Experience with Denticon software is a plus.
- 5Full-time availability (30+ hours per week).
- 6Willingness to travel to the Tacoma office when needed.
- 7Ability to work Tuesdays 8-5, some Mondays, and occasional Saturdays.
