Overview
As a Registered Dental Assistant at Dentologie's South Lake Union practice, you will own patient care and clinical support in a high-volume, modern dental office. You will work chairside with a skilled dentist across restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics, and OS procedures. You will join a collaborative team focused on delivering a 10-star patient experience in a location steps from Lake Union. This role offers $25-$32/hr, growth opportunities, and a balanced schedule across five days.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and treatments, using 4-handed dentistry techniques to pass instruments and materials.
- 2Prepare instruments and materials for upcoming procedures, ensuring the operatory is stocked and ready.
- 3Make patients comfortable in the chair, providing clear instructions for pre- and post-operative care.
- 4Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories after each treatment to maintain a safe environment.
- 5Obtain dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis.
- 6Chart existing restorations and planned treatments in the patient record.
- 7Instruct patients on oral health education and post-procedure care.
- 8Monitor daily supplies and restock to keep the practice running seamlessly.
Requirements6
- 16+ months of dental assistant experience in a clinical setting.
- 2Active WA state dental assistant registration number.
- 3Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service, and written communication skills.
- 4Clinical knowledge and skills in patient care, including radiograph and intra-oral scan proficiency.
- 5Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately in a high-paced environment.
- 6Coronal polishing certificate (preferred).
