What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct preliminary eye exams, including patient history intake and diagnostic tests using autorefractor and tonometer.
- 2Assist optometrists during comprehensive eye exams, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate procedure support.
- 3Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens use, using clear instructions on contact lens hygiene and insertion.
- 4Document patient data in EHR systems, maintaining accurate and complete records for each visit.
- 5Prepare exam rooms and equipment for appointments, ensuring slit lamp and phoropter are clean and calibrated.
- 6Support front desk tasks, scheduling appointments and handling phone inquiries with professionalism.
- 7Monitor and restock inventory of diagnostic supplies and contact lens trial inventory, minimizing shortages.
- 8Collaborate with the care team to deliver a seamless patient experience, addressing patient concerns promptly.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 2Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required; training provided on optical instruments.
- 3Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient and team communication.
- 4Proficiency with EHR systems and basic computer software.
- 5Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 6Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain efficiency during peak hours.
- 7Availability to work Saturdays as listed in office hours (required).
- 8Commitment to commute to Glenview, IL 60025 for in-person work (required).
