Ophthalmic Photographer, OCT & Fundus Imaging
Overview
You will own the photography room at a busy Midwest eye care network, documenting disease processes for 125+ physicians. Master OCT and fundus systems from Zeiss, Heidelberg, Eidon, and Optos. Work with a collaborative team of 1,500 employees across 60+ locations. This role centers on precision imaging and troubleshooting, with direct impact on patient diagnosis.
What You'll Do9
- 1Bring patients from the waiting area into the photography room, ensuring a smooth flow.
- 2Navigate the EHR system to verify patient information and upload imaging files to charts.
- 3Shoot accurate OCT scans on Zeiss and Heidelberg machines.
- 4Capture fundus photos on Zeiss, Eidon, and Optos cameras.
- 5Inject and perform FA and ICG angiography on multiple camera systems.
- 6Administer visual field tests and color vision tests.
- 7Record imaging data in Excel spreadsheets for tracking.
- 8Troubleshoot camera or machine issues and coordinate with tech support.
- 9Support additional tasks assigned by the manager.
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2Experience with Humphrey Visual Fields, OCT, angiograms, and fundus photos.
- 3Ability to work in dim lighting conditions.
- 4Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 5Knowledge of medical terminology.
- 6Desired: Ophthalmic Technician experience.
