Own the front-line patient experience in a high-volume ophthalmology setting at AVP. You will assist doctors by preparing patients, collecting medical history, and performing screening tests to support high-quality eye care across our national network. Collaborate with clinicians and staff to maintain efficient clinic flow and excellent patient satisfaction. What You'll Do10

  • 1Welcome patients and visitors to create a positive first impression
  • 2Maintain doctor rooms and ensure clinic flow for efficient patient throughput
  • 3Obtain patient histories and document findings in EHR
  • 4Perform visual acuity, auto-refraction, lensometry, tonometry, and keratometry tests
  • 5Run diagnostic tests such as Immersion A-scan, OCTs and Visual Fields
  • 6Administer color vision, depth perception, and Schirmer’s tear testing as needed
  • 7Assist in minor office procedures and post-procedure care
  • 8Educate patients on conditions, procedures and surgery consent
  • 9Maintain exam rooms including cleaning and sterilization
  • 10Support team with preparing materials and equipment for exams

Requirements5

  • 1High School Diploma or GED
  • 2At least 1-year of experience in Ophthalmology preferred
  • 3COA or COT is a plus
  • 4Detail oriented and reliable with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • 5Excellent verbal and written communication skills
