- 1Develop and implement a comprehensive safety management program across all operational departments
- 2Establish safety policies SOPs and training standards
- 3Lead organization-wide safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- 4Promote a culture of safety accountability at all levels
- 5Oversee safety compliance in forklift powered industrial trucks pallet racking material handling dock safety cold storage
- 6Conduct regular safety audits and facility walk-throughs
- 7Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor OSHA compliance
- 8Assist with AIB preparation and inspection
- 9Oversee driver safety programs defensive driving standards
- 10Monitor telematics driver performance and accident trends
- 11Partner with Facilities to ensure safe building conditions
- 12Investigate vehicle incidents and recommend corrective actions
- 13Maintain training records and develop safety training programs for warehouse staff drivers facilities personnel volunteers
- 14Lead new hire safety orientation
- 15Facilitate refresher and corrective training
- 16Build partnerships with departments and vendors
- 17Lead accident and near-miss investigations conduct root cause analysis
- 18Track and report safety metrics and trends
- 19Coordinate workers compensation with HR
- 20Ensure compliance with OSHA DOT and local fire health regulations
- 21Maintain all safety documentation and present monthly reports to the COO
Requirements7
- 15+ years of experience in warehouse logistics or distribution operations
- 2Proven leadership in high-volume warehouse safety programs
- 3Experience managing transportation or fleet safety
- 4Certifications such as OSHA 30 and forklift trainer
- 5Education in safety occupational health or related fields
- 6Strong knowledge of food safety handling requirements
- 7Ability to conduct OSHA audits and maintain compliance documentation
