Operations Performance Engineering Manager at Dow
Overview
Lead an Operations Performance Engineering team to optimize plant operations optimize batch cycle times and support new product introductions. This role drives efficiency and quality across batch reactions logistics and utilities. Expect to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
What You'll Do11
- 1Strong understanding of chemistries equipment and processing technology in area of responsibility
- 2Evaluate categorize production losses and deviation data
- 3Analyze operational and logistics data KPIs asset utilization trends to validate results diagnose gaps and identify improvements
- 4Determine prioritize corrective actions to close operational performance gaps utilization yield uptime quality operating discipline losses reliability opportunities
- 5Identify prioritize implement improvement opportunities aligned with plant specific improvement plans global technology plans and business objectives that also deliver value
- 6Lead and support capital and non capital projects expense and continuous improvement using defined project and improvement work processes
- 7Provide leadership during plant maintenance unplanned events commissioning start up and project handover to operations
- 8Partner with maintenance OTEC and process expertise to identify and drive temporary and permanent equipment repairs and improvements
- 9Support drive EHS and process safety culture compliance and necessary IM reporting
- 10Champion effective maintenance practices process safety operating discipline and root cause problem solving in support of cost effective operations
- 11Provide input to shut down scope for availability and equipment reliability opportunities that cannot be addressed during normal operations
Requirements8
- 1Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 2Minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience
- 3Ability to work outside normal business hours including evenings weekends holidays and participate in an on call rotation as business needs require
- 4Minimum requirement for this U.S based position is the ability to work legally in the United States
- 5Physical demands willingness to meet demands wear safety equipment respirators and lift heavy loads
