Operations Manager, Swim Academy Aquatics
Overview
You'll run daily operations at a busy swim school, managing staff schedules, member relations, and deck safety across a facility serving hundreds of families. You'll teach lessons, train instructors, and coordinate with senior management on special projects. Your leadership keeps the facility running smoothly and the team motivated. What You'll Do7
- 1Own the daily operation of the facility, from opening to closing shifts, ensuring safety and service standards.
- 2Train and mentor swim instructors on teaching techniques and customer service, setting clear expectations.
- 3Serve as the main contact for staff, members, and management, resolving issues on the spot.
- 4Teach swim lessons and conduct in-water training sessions to maintain instructional quality.
- 5Lead deck management, monitoring class flow and ensuring ratios and safety protocols are met.
- 6Execute special projects assigned by senior management, from marketing events to operational improvements.
- 7Contribute to revenue growth by supporting member retention and lesson enrollment strategies.
Requirements5
- 12+ years of service-driven management experience, preferably in aquatics or recreation.
- 2Proven ability to train and manage a team, with strong communication skills.
- 3Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before start).
- 4Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights until 8:45 PM and weekends.
- 5Experience teaching swim lessons or working in a pool environment.
