Overview
We seek an On Call Substitute Teacher to support Rainier Valley Leadership Academy. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Principal and ensure smooth operations. You will instruct scholars following state standards while maintaining a positive learning environment. This role offers unique opportunities to collaborate with a dedicated team.
What You'll Do9
- 1Report directly to the Principal regarding job-related matters
- 2Maintain classroom discipline and enforce school policies
- 3Supervise scholars during instructional periods
- 4Deliver lessons using direct instruction and multimedia tools
- 5Track student attendance and manage behavior records
- 6Follow administrative guidelines for policy implementation
- 7Ensure compliance with child safety regulations
- 8Coordinate with staff to address academic needs
- 9Prepare and submit required documentation promptly
Requirements11
- 15+ years teaching experience at middle or high school level
- 2Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with content endorsement preferred
- 4Proficiency with Common Core State Standards
- 5Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms
- 6Ability to adapt to dynamic educational environments
- 7Background check clearance through Puget Sound Educational Service District
