Office Assistant, Ophthalmic Insurance Verification & Admin
Overview
Own insurance verification and back-office coordination for a fast-paced ophthalmic practice in Phoenix. You will verify coverage and eligibility for patients while supporting data entry, scheduling, and patient communication at scale. You’ll collaborate with staff to ensure a seamless experience for patients and providers and grow with a team that values problem-solving and exceptional service. This role emphasizes independent work, initiative, and continuous learning in a dynamic environment.
What You'll Do6
- 1Verify insurance coverage and eligibility information
- 2Answer incoming phone calls professionally and direct them as needed
- 3Perform extensive data entry in the EHR system
- 4Make outbound calls to patients, POAs, facilities, etc
- 5Schedule and confirm patient appointments daily
- 6Ensure a seamless and efficient experience for patients and staff
Requirements8
- 1Medical office scheduling experience is preferred but not required training will be provided
- 2Familiarity with ophthalmic concepts and software RevolutionEHR is a plus
- 3Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
- 4Compassion and empathy for staff and patients
- 5Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 6Ability to plan ahead stay organized and adaptable
- 7Independent work ethic and initiative
- 8Availability Monday-Friday 9am-5pm in person in Mesa AZ 85204
