Overview

You will own pediatric occupational therapy for Easterseals Crossroads, delivering evaluations and interventions across clinic, home, and community settings. Work within a mission-driven team supporting children from birth to age five. Partner with families and colleagues to build independence and quality of life. NBCOT certification and Indiana OT license are core to this role. You will split time between clinic-based care and First Steps early intervention, with flexible scheduling and full benefits.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Design and implement treatment plans for pediatric clients after completing comprehensive evaluations in clinic, home, and community settings.
  • 2Direct OT interventions using evidence-based methods, adapting materials and environments to each child's needs.
  • 3Build home programs with families, including transition planning and caregiver training for carryover.
  • 4Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices, fabricating when needed to support daily function.
  • 5Manage a caseload of 20-25 children, documenting progress and maintaining accurate clinical records per IPLA standards.
  • 6Coordinate with service coordinators, teachers, and other professionals through regular communication and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • 7Lead training sessions for staff and families on sensory integration, motor development, and activity modifications.
  • 8Evaluate outcomes after 90 days, adjusting interventions based on measurable goal attainment.

Requirements9

  • 1Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • 2Current NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR).
  • 3Active Indiana OT license through the IPLA.
  • 41+ years of pediatric experience, including work with developmental disabilities, preferred.
  • 5Proven ability to travel between clinic, home, and community locations as required.
  • 6Deep understanding of typical and atypical child development, with skill in adapting environments and materials.
  • 7Hands-on experience using evidence-based interventions for sensory, motor, and daily living skills.
  • 8Clear communication with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams, plus strong documentation habits.
  • 9Comfort in active, hands-on therapy settings, including floor play and physical interaction with children.
