What You'll Do7
- 1Assess patient functional status and develop individualized treatment plans for geriatric populations in senior rehabilitation settings.
- 2Deliver occupational therapy interventions to restore daily living skills and improve quality of life for residents.
- 3Collaborate with PT, nursing, and physician teams to coordinate care and adjust plans based on patient progress.
- 4Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with state and facility regulations.
- 5Educate patients and families on adaptive equipment and home safety strategies to support long-term independence.
- 6Supervise OTA and support staff as needed, ensuring high standards of therapeutic care.
- 7Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to align rehabilitation goals with overall patient care plans.
Requirements5
- 1Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Missouri or ability to obtain before start.
- 2New graduates welcomed; prior experience in geriatrics is a plus.
- 3Strong clinical reasoning and ability to work independently in a rehabilitation center.
- 4Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation.
