Occupational Therapist Neuro PRN
Overview
You will provide in-home neurological rehabilitation for patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and complex orthopedic diagnoses across the Denver metro area. You'll join an interdisciplinary team that designs and practices integrated treatment plans in patients' homes and communities, focusing on functional goals that ignite real-world progress. With PRN flexibility and a pay range of $56-$66 per hour, you'll deliver evidence-based care backed by therapy-led leadership committed to building futures.
What You'll Do6
- 1Evaluate and treat upper extremity dysfunction, ADLs, IADLs, visual and perceptual deficits, cognitive impairments, and adaptive equipment needs for neuro patients.
- 2Design and execute individualized home and community-based therapy programs that address functional goals like returning to work, community mobility, and household management.
- 3Collaborate with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other team members to implement integrated treatment plans across the continuum from acute injury to job readiness.
- 4Provide assistive technology recommendations and cognitive rehabilitation strategies to support patient independence in daily routines.
- 5Document patient progress in compliance with state licensure and facility standards, ensuring clear communication with families and professionals.
- 6Train caregivers and family members on carryover activities and adaptive strategies to reinforce therapy gains between visits.
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and state licensure in Colorado
- 2Master's degree in OT and professional certification preferred
- 32+ years experience treating neurologically related disorders strongly preferred
- 4Strong planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- 5Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- 6Comfort working in home and community settings as an independent clinician
