Nursing Services Manager RN, Wellness Coordination
Overview
You will own the Wellness Coordination program for Dungarvin's Indiana region, directing nursing operations for 100+ individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will lead a team of RNs and LPNs, ensuring each person receives individualized health care management that meets DDRS standards. This role combines clinical oversight with staff supervision, requiring you to balance regulatory compliance with compassionate care. You will collaborate with area directors to shape health care systems, making this a strategic position that directly improves quality of life.
What You'll Do8
- 1Develop and manage the Wellness Coordination program, ensuring compliance with DDRS guidelines and licensing requirements.
- 2Supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews, to maintain a high standard of care.
- 3Review and approve Wellness Assessments, Risk Mitigation Tools, and Wellness Plans for each individual, tailoring care to their needs.
- 4Ensure face-to-face visits are documented accurately and timely, meeting all regulatory timelines per DDRS.
- 5Provide clinical consultation to area directors and program directors on medical policies, procedures, and complex cases.
- 6Establish health care systems for new programs, including protocols for medication administration and emergency response.
- 7Conduct regular audits of health care documentation to ensure it exceeds licensure standards and organizational policy.
- 8Lead the triage on-call rotation, providing guidance to nurses on urgent medical issues.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of nursing experience with a current RN license in the state of Indiana.
- 21+ year of supervisory experience, including performance management and staff development.
- 3Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to create person-centered care plans.
- 4Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation systems, such as PointClickCare.
- 5Demonstrated knowledge of DDRS regulations and waiver programs.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community visits.
- 7Background clearance through Dungarvin onboarding process.
