Overview
Nurse Medical Surgical at SJHMC Westgate will provide patient care in a fast paced unit with exposure to cardiac telemetry orthopedics neurology critical care surgical services and emergency settings. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess implement and document care while building on your education and experience. This role emphasizes patient first care and a sense of urgency in a dynamic clinical environment.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and administer medications and change dressings while monitoring vital signs
- 2Collaborate with social work care coordination physical therapy occupational therapy lab respiratory therapy and imaging to support patient discharge plans
- 3Perform skilled procedures and implement individualized care plans
- 4Document timely patient data and responses to treatment in the chart
- 5Support interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to a culture of patient safety and humankindness
Requirements5
- 1Active compact state or Arizona RN license RN
- 2American Heart Association Basic Life Support BLS certification
- 3American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- 4Preferred one year recent acute care experience
- 5BSN or professional certification in area of specialty
