Overview
You will own nursing and medical care for individuals in an adult activity home, operating onsite in Dallas, Texas. You will assess needs, develop care plans, and administer treatments. Working closely with physicians and an RN consultant, you will maintain medical records and provide health education. What You'll Do10
- 1Assess each individual’s nursing and medical needs upon admission and ongoing.
- 2Develop an individualized plan of care for each resident within the first 30 days.
- 3Obtain physician's orders for medication and treatment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- 4Verify that self-administered medications have been taken, applied, or used correctly.
- 5Enter, date, and sign monthly progress notes documenting medical care provided.
- 6Administer medication and treatment per physician orders and facility policy.
- 7Provide health education to residents and staff on medication management and wellness.
- 8Maintain complete and confidential medical records for each individual.
- 9Collaborate with the RN consultant during weekly visits, documenting all consultations.
- 10Be on site 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, and during resident hours.
Requirements8
- 1Current LVN or RN license in the state of Texas.
- 22+ years of nursing experience in a long-term care or residential setting.
- 3Experience developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- 4Proficiency in medication administration and documentation.
- 5Ability to assess patient needs and respond to medical emergencies.
- 6Strong communication skills for interaction with physicians, residents, and families.
- 7Knowledge of state regulations for adult care facilities.
- 8Must be available Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, onsite.
