Overview
Own the night shift caring for geriatric residents at a skilled nursing facility with 24/7 care. You’ll support daily living activities, monitor resident well being, and collaborate with a compassionate team.
What You'll Do9
- 1Respond to residents' call lights and assess needs
- 2Turn and reposition residents to maintain comfort and safety
- 3Provide physical assistance with activities of daily living
- 4Review dietary restrictions and ensure appropriate meals
- 5Record intake and output as required
- 6Notify nursing staff about changes in residents' conditions and build rapport with residents
- 7Support 24/7 care environment in a skilled nursing facility
- 8Assist with basic tasks and mobility to promote resident independence
- 9Document care provided and communicate updates to the team
Requirements5
- 1Current CNA certification or willingness to become certified within 120 days of employment
- 2Effective communication with coworkers and residents
- 3Willingness to learn local, state, and federal long-term care regulations
- 4Ability to work the Night Shift, 6PM to 6AM
- 5Comfort with on the job training and learning through supervision
