You will own local mail pickup and delivery for Pitney Bowes Presort Services in Grove City, Ohio, driving a Straight Truck up to 26,000 GVWR. With daily home time and a 2nd shift schedule, you will handle minimal freight and inspect products against USPS regulations. The role combines driving with warehouse tasks like wrapping pallets and loading trucks. You will join a team that processes over 17 billion pieces of mail annually, offering stability and growth.
What You'll Do7
- 1Drive a Straight Truck on local routes to pick up and deliver mail from customers, ensuring timely and safe transport.
- 2Inspect products at pickup to verify conformance to customer specifications and USPS regulations, checking dates, presort slugs, and pickup slips.
- 3Load the truck by wrapping pallets, stacking trays, and securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- 4Maintain a daily driver log for mileage and cargo, and collect signatures for customer pickups.
- 5Document mail counts and assist customers with mail-related questions at each stop.
- 6Keep the vehicle, production floor, and work area clean and organized.
- 7Support the warehouse team by performing additional duties as assigned, such as sorting or staging mail.
Requirements8
- 1Must be minimum 21 years in age.
- 2Valid state motor vehicle operator's license in the state of residence.
- 3Ability to drive a Straight Truck up to 26,000 GVWR.
- 4Minimum six months verifiable driving experience in similar-sized vehicles within the last 3 years with a safe driving record.
- 5Basic computer skills and ability to read a map and understand directions.
- 6Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand, walk, stoop, and bend with or without accommodations.
- 7Willingness to work mandatory overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with little notice.
- 8Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand traffic signs, and make records entries.
