Overview
Class A or B Local deliveries Flatbed hauling of construction material. Owner drive diverse fleet including tractor-trailers flatbeds tankers dump trucks and truck mounted forklifts to deliver freight across Central Ohio. Ensure cargo is loaded and unloaded securely. Maintain safe operation adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Perform pre trip and post trip inspections. Coordinate with dispatchers and customers to resolve issues promptly. Deliver freight efficiently while prioritizing safety and professionalism.
What You'll Do11
- 1Safely operate tractor trailers flatbeds tankers dump trucks and truck mounted forklifts to deliver freight across Central Ohio
- 2Load and unload cargo with precision securing all items for transit
- 3Navigate routes efficiently while following traffic laws and safety standards
- 4Conduct pre trip and post trip inspections verifying vehicle condition including brakes lights tires and load security
- 5Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues
- 6Operate additional equipment such as forklifts when needed for loading or unloading
- 7Drive different types of trucks including manual transmission vehicles flatbeds dump trucks and truck mounted forklifts
- 8Maintain strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety procedures
- 9Load and unload freight efficiently while preserving cargo integrity
- 10Utilize route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery times
- 11Familiarity with operating auxiliary equipment like forklifts is a plus
