What You'll Do9
- 1Load and unload petroleum products using Class A CDL and Tanker equipment, following all DOT and FMCSA regulations
- 2Drive Class B CDL trucks on assigned routes across Ohio, ensuring on-time delivery to company-owned sites and customers
- 3Perform daily safety inspections on trucks, tankers, and loading arms, documenting issues with DOT-compliant checklists
- 4Maintain vehicle cleanliness and monitor oil, water, fuel, and tire levels before each shift
- 5Complete and transmit delivery paperwork electronically, using ELD systems to log hours and routes
- 6Coordinate with dispatchers via two-way radio and mobile app to adjust to traffic, weather, or urgent orders
- 7Secure loads with hazmat protocols, including checking TWIC credentials at secure facilities
- 8Respond to spill or leak incidents with emergency containment procedures, reporting to local authorities per HM regulations
- 9Communicate customer delivery needs and any service issues to customer service team promptly
Requirements8
- 12+ years of fuel truck driving experience with a Class A or B CDL
- 2Hazmat and Tanker endorsements on CDL, with TWIC card active
- 3Clean MVR with no major violations in the last 3 years
- 4Pass DOT-regulated drug screen and physical, meeting FMCSA medical standards
- 5Available to work weekends and occasional overtime, with a residence within 30-50 miles of Columbus
- 61+ year experience with petroleum delivery and loading racks
- 7Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and mobile communication tools
- 8Strong customer service demeanor, with ability to resolve delivery issues professionally
