Overview
Drive tractor-trailer and day cab trucks for BWAAM Liquidators, delivering freight on daily routes across Indianapolis and surrounding areas. You will own FMCSA and DOT compliance, route planning, and cargo handling from start to finish. Work alongside a tight-knit dispatch team that values reliability and safe driving. This role stands out with home-daily routes and a pay range of $20-$30/hour.
What You'll Do6
- 1Operate tractor-trailer dry van trailers and day cab trucks, following FMCSA and DOT regulations on every trip.
- 2Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to hit delivery windows across diverse locations.
- 3Load and unload freight with proper manual handling, securing cargo per hazmat protocols when transporting dangerous goods.
- 4Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to catch issues before departure or on arrival.
- 5Log driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation to stay audit-ready under FMCSA rules.
- 6Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to adjust schedules and solve logistical snags in real time.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of commercial truck driving, including delivery and route driving for freight.
- 2Valid CDL with applicable endorsements for tractor-trailer operation.
- 3Proven ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform loading/unloading tasks.
- 4Solid grasp of FMCSA and DOT rules, plus hazmat safety for dangerous goods.
- 5Hands-on experience with GPS tools and route optimization in varied driving conditions.
- 6Strong communication skills for dispatch and customer coordination.
- 7Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
