CDL Residential Route Driver
Overview
Drive waste collection and recycling trucks for Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Columbus Ohio. Operate various trucks and navigate diverse routes while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. Perform repetitive physical tasks such as lifting heavy containers and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery.
What You'll Do11
- 1Operate truck safely following local state and federal regulations
- 2Provide trash or recycling removal services by loading containers into trucks
- 3Navigate diverse routes and handle congested or confined spaces
- 4Perform repetitive physical tasks including lifting 40-50 pound containers 500 times daily
- 5Deliver containers to designated locations and replace receptacles neatly
- 6Clean waste from packer blade and truck body
- 7Maintain and update route and driver logs
- 8Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- 9Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- 10Follow company policies during all operations
- 11Assist with additional duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 1Valid Class B CDL with minimum 19 years experience
- 2DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain before hiring
- 3Minimum 5 years of experience
- 4Ability to pass pre-employment testing
- 5Valid driver's license if applicable
- 6Legal eligibility to work in the United States
- 7Proven ability to lift and handle heavy loads
- 8Excellent truck driving and maneuvering skills
- 9Physical stamina for prolonged exertion
- 10Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- 11Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime weekends and holidays
