Overview
Registered Nurse leading resident care in a full-time onsite environment. This role focuses on assessing health status planning interventions and coordinating multidisciplinary care to enhance resident outcomes.
What You'll Do14
- 1Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ health status including vital signs medical history and current symptoms
- 2Collaborate with residents families physicians and team members to establish goals of care and develop appropriate strategies
- 3Regularly reassess resident needs and adjust care plans ensuring continuity and responsiveness to changing conditions
- 4Provide skilled nursing interventions and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
- 5Administer medications perform wound care monitor vital signs and manage medical equipment as needed
- 6Coordinate with therapy dietary and social services to deliver integrated care
- 7Educate residents and families on health conditions treatment options medication management and self-care strategies
- 8Provide emotional support counseling and advocacy fostering trust and therapeutic relationships
- 9Promote preventive health practices and wellness initiatives to optimize resident health
- 10Document nursing assessments interventions and outcomes in resident medical records
- 11Participate in care conferences and team meetings discussing resident progress goals and care needs
- 12Adhere to infection control protocols maintaining a clean safe hygienic environment
- 13Collaborate with healthcare professionals including RNs physicians therapists and social workers to optimize outcomes
- 14Perform all other duties assigned
Requirements14
- 1Valid license as a Registered Nurse RN in the state where work is performed
- 21 or more years of nursing experience preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facility
- 3Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles procedures and best practices in long-term care
- 4Excellent communication and interpersonal skills interacting effectively with residents families caregivers and healthcare professionals
- 5Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- 6Understanding of regulatory requirements governing nursing practices and skilled nursing facilities
- 7Ability to build rapport with patients through a compassionate and caring demeanor
- 8Physical Requirements Sit stand bend reach talk hear stoop kneel crouch stretch and twist stamina to stand and move frequently respond to emergencies
- 9Required vision includes close vision distance and peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- 10Capability to lift and transfer residents safely using proper body mechanics and assistance as needed
- 11Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule
- 12Accept criticism and deal calmly with high-stress situations
- 13Use abdominal and lower back muscles to support body repeatedly without fatigue
- 14Keep hand and arm steady while moving or holding an arm in one position
