Overview
You will own the overnight financial close, balancing all daily transactions and preparing reports for management at a 453-room property. As the sole front-of-house representative, you will handle guest check-ins, resolve issues, and ensure safety during the night shift. Your work directly impacts revenue accuracy and guest experience. What You'll Do8
- 1Run end-of-day procedures, verify and balance all guest folios, and resolve discrepancies in the PMS.
- 2Post room, dining, and phone charges to guest accounts with full accuracy.
- 3Check guests in and out during the overnight shift, addressing requests and complaints.
- 4Prepare daily revenue and occupancy reports for Finance and Operations teams.
- 5Reconcile credit card transactions and prepare bank deposits.
- 6Monitor hotel security, walk the property, and respond to emergencies per protocols.
- 7Operate the Opera PMS to manage reservations, billing, and guest profiles.
- 8Set up the breakfast area and keep the lobby and front desk organized and stocked.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or Hospitality preferred.
- 21+ years in hotel front office or accounting role.
- 3Basic understanding of double-entry accounting and daily reconciliation.
- 4Experience with Opera PMS or similar property management system.
- 5Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for report generation.
- 6Strong math and attention to detail for balancing large transaction volumes.
- 7Available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- 8Ability to work independently and handle guest emergencies calmly.
