Overview
Own the administration of a large-scale thin client and virtual desktop ecosystem supporting multi-domain access across distributed environments. You will maintain, secure, and optimize NGDE platforms, ensuring resilient high-performance desktop delivery and enterprise-wide availability. Collaborate with engineering, network, cybersecurity, and virtualization teams to sustain and modernize the infrastructure. This role directly supports national defense, keeping critical operations secure and connected globally. Requires active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and 8+ years of IT experience.
What You'll Do10
- 1Administer NGDE thin client and virtual desktop systems, ensuring reliable access to multiple networks and virtualized environments.
- 2Monitor NGDE infrastructure health, availability, storage utilization, network routing, and console status, resolving alerts and performance degradations.
- 3Manage enterprise distribution consoles, licensing, session management, routing assignments, authentication sources, and cluster/cell configurations.
- 4Support integration and sustainment of server-side components including connection brokers, certificates, device firmware, and virtualization platforms.
- 5Troubleshoot complex NGDE issues including session failures, connectivity problems, certificate issues, and client-to-cluster routing challenges.
- 6Implement configuration updates, version changes, hardware improvements, and operational adjustments to maintain secure, optimized NGDE environments.
- 7Maintain documentation, system inventories, SOPs, and configuration artifacts supporting change control and continuous improvement.
- 8Collaborate with engineering, network, cybersecurity, and virtualization teams to integrate new capabilities and support modernization efforts.
- 9Apply security patches, client updates, firmware changes, and backend platform fixes to maintain compliance with security baselines.
- 10Identify and remediate non-compliant NGDE components by reviewing vulnerability and compliance reports and validating corrective actions.
Requirements10
- 1Active TS/SCI clearance with favorable polygraph.
- 28+ years of related IT experience (or Bachelor's degree in IT-related field).
- 3Meet DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE).
- 4Required certifications: Forcepoint Trusted Thin Client (40-hour course).
- 5Hands-on experience administering thin client, VDI, or multi-network desktop delivery environments.
- 6Strong proficiency with virtual desktop platforms, session management, certificate services, client imaging, and remote administration.
- 7Experience with secure configuration practices and desktop hardening.
- 8Familiarity with patching processes, version updates, and vulnerability remediation.
- 9Ability to diagnose and resolve complex NGDE, authentication, and routing issues.
- 10US citizenship required.
