Advanced Practice Provider leading neuro endovascular initiatives at Edward Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital. This hybrid role combines inpatient procedural work with outpatient clinic responsibilities. The position offers competitive compensation based on expertise and experience.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design and execute diagnostic procedures including cerebral angiograms and embolizations
- 2Perform lumbar punctures and manage drainage catheters
- 3Interpret imaging studies and laboratory results to guide treatment decisions
- 4Develop treatment protocols using evidence-based practices
- 5Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- 6Maintain accurate medical records and document patient progress notes
- 7Educate patients on therapeutic regimens and post-operative care
- 8Implement standardized clinical pathways for neurovascular conditions
- 9Conduct research to advance standards of neurological care
- 10Train staff on clinical protocols and safety procedures
- 11Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the health system
Requirements11
- 1License: Advanced Practice Licensure or PA in Illinois with first assist certification
- 2Education: Master's degree in neuroscience or related field
- 3Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
- 4Experience: Minimum 5+ years in neurology or neurosurgery
- 5Technical Skills: Proficiency with Python and AWS platforms
- 6Specialized Knowledge: Experience with React and Kubernetes technologies
- 7Regulatory Compliance: Valid DEA and Illinois controlled substance license
- 8Clinical Background: Previous APN/PA experience in neuro specialty preferred
- 9Communication: Strong written documentation and patient education abilities
- 10Teamwork: Ability to function effectively in collaborative environments
- 11Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible schedules across multiple locations
