Overview
Lead neurology consultations for inpatient and post-acute care facilities across Northern New Jersey. This role focuses on direct patient evaluation and collaborative care with neurologists and facility teams. Opportunities exist for growth within a expanding team.
What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct in-person neurological evaluations and consults for patients in hospital inpatient units and post-acute care facilities
- 2Perform initial consults and follow-up visits for neurological conditions like stroke seizure disorders and cognitive decline
- 3Develop and implement clinical care plans in collaboration with supervising neurologists
- 4Provide ongoing clinical monitoring and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress
- 5Conduct facility based rounding and evaluate new consult requests
- 6Order interpret diagnostic studies and formulate differential diagnoses
- 7Manage complex medication regimens including antiepileptics anticoagulants and thrombolytics
- 8Collaborate with attending neurologists and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management
- 9Educate patients and families about disease processes and lifestyle modifications
- 10Coordinate care across partner facilities to ensure high quality specialty services
- 11Monitor therapeutic effectiveness and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- 3Active and unrestricted New Jersey Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license
- 4Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license
- 5National board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP Family NP or Adult NP
