Network Administrator, DoD LMOC & Hill AFB
Overview
Own the design, deployment, and support of LAN WAN and classified and unclassified networks for live mission operations at Hill AFB. You will manage system and network administration, security, and certification activities across multiple domains and stakeholders for critical DoD programs. You will collaborate with government leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure availability, integrity, and security of IT infrastructure in support of LMOC deployments. This role offers exposure to RMF DIACAP processes, VMware server administration, and mission-critical live training environments.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain LAN and WAN across classified and unclassified environments to support live mission operations
- 2Design and implement network security for command and control systems and secure product team discussions
- 3Plan install and analyze government furnished computer systems and upgrade IT infrastructure for availability and reliability
- 4Manage VMware server administration including high-availability configurations and disaster recovery
- 5Provide help desk support and manage IT trouble tickets for DoD systems and life-cycle applications
- 6Assist with development of web based IT equipment management systems and government software tools
- 7Support certification efforts for classified and unclassified infrastructure including RMF and DIACAP
- 8Review system designs for security risks and usability and advise leadership on improvements
- 9Resolve integration issues between new systems and existing infrastructure
- 10Monitor emerging technologies and propose effective solutions for DoD networks
Requirements10
- 1Must be a U.S. citizen
- 2Secret clearance required and maintainable
- 3Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of DoD experience or 7 years directly related experience including 5 years in the DoD
- 4DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification such as Security+ CE or CCNA Security
- 5Experience with LAN/WAN environments and VMware server administration
- 6Experience supporting classified and unclassified networks
- 7Familiarity with DIACAP or RMF processes
- 8Knowledge of government IT applications like ABSS CAS CPARs JCALS JEDMICS DSAMS
- 9Strong problem solving and analytical abilities and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
- 10Ability to manage on-site work with travel less than 10%
