National Account Manager, Corporate Sales
Overview
You will own and grow key retail accounts for Core-Mark, the largest broadline distributor in North America, managing joint business plans and a team of on-site managers. You operate at the intersection of customer strategy and internal operations, driving sales outcomes across a $10B+ network. Your work directly shapes long-term partnerships with convenience retailers. You will report on metrics, resolve issues, and lead account managers to deliver mutual success.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build joint business plans with customers to drive shared sales goals, using CRM data and market insights.
- 2Lead a team of account managers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to meet account targets.
- 3Prepare and present business reviews and key account metrics to stakeholders, using PowerPoint and Excel.
- 4Identify and address customer needs through proactive networking and relationship building.
- 5Serve as the liaison between customers, internal teams, and distribution centers, ensuring seamless service.
- 6Resolve complaints and issues to maintain customer satisfaction and company reputation.
- 7Stay current on internal and external developments to suggest new sales opportunities.
- 8Travel as needed to customer sites and company locations, up to 50%.
Requirements9
- 15+ years proven experience as an Account Executive or similar sales role.
- 2BS or BA in Business Administration or Sales preferred.
- 3Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to build relationships.
- 4Strong organizational and time-management skills, managing multiple accounts.
- 5Business acumen with understanding of sales performance metrics.
- 6Analytical skills to interpret data and drive decisions.
- 7Enthusiastic and passionate about sales and customer success.
- 8Ability to lead and motivate team members.
- 9Availability to travel as needed.
