Overview
Own end-to-end servicing for a $1B+ mortgage portfolio at TruStone Financial, the second-largest credit union in Minnesota. Coordinate payment processing, escrow accounting, and member inquiries for USDA, VA, FHA, FNMA, and FHLMC loans. Collaborate with a dedicated home mortgage team across 23 branches to ensure regulatory compliance and data accuracy. What You'll Do8
- 1Process all servicing functions for funded mortgage loans, including payment posting, escrow analysis, and payoff calculations.
- 2Reconcile FNMA and FHLB reports to verify data accuracy across loan systems; correct discrepancies promptly.
- 3Manage escrow accounts for taxes and insurance, ensuring timely disbursements and annual escrow analyses.
- 4Resolve member service inquiries via phone and written communication, clarifying loan terms and payment details.
- 5Coordinate with vendors (e.g., tax service, insurance providers) to resolve issues and maintain compliance.
- 6Audit loan files post-funding to confirm documentation meets USDA, VA, FHA, and investor guidelines.
- 7Generate and submit regulatory reports to government agencies and investors within strict deadlines.
- 8Support the servicing team during peak periods and assist with system upgrades and process improvements.
Requirements9
- 12+ years of mortgage servicing experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3Knowledge of mortgage documentation and regulatory requirements for FHA, VA, USDA, and FNMA loans.
- 4Advanced problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail in data balancing and reconciliation.
- 5Comfort working with multiple loan systems and MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
- 6Ability to meet externally influenced deadlines in a high-volume, regulated setting.
- 7Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 8Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- 9Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and ability to pass background checks and drug test.
