Overview

Mortgage Closing professionals coordinate and finalize residential loan closings for first mortgage, home equity, and modifications at scale. They work with borrowers, attorneys, closing agents, processors, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure closings meet Bank and investor rules. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and knowledge of closing regulations. You will join a collaborative Home Finance team focused on accurate, compliant closings.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and coordinate residential mortgage, home equity, and modification closings with processing and underwriting teams
  • 2Coordinate with borrowers and attorneys to obtain closing conditions, insurance, certifications, and documentation
  • 3Review loan files to verify fee collection and proper deposits
  • 4Collaborate with bank attorneys and closing agents to clear loans for closing and schedule closings
  • 5Monitor rate locks, credit documents, and deadlines to prevent funding delays
  • 6Prepare calculations and coordinate first mortgage modification closings
  • 7Prepare and email final closing packages to closing agents
  • 8Coordinate loan funding with Loan Administration and Accounting
  • 9Track completed loans and upload closing data into the loan servicing system
  • 10Ensure closings comply with bank investor policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements10

  • 1High School Diploma required; college degree preferred
  • 2Minimum 2 years of mortgage closing or legal closing experience
  • 3Experience with residential mortgage, home equity, and mortgage modification closings preferred
  • 4Working knowledge of TRID, FHA, ECOA, HMDA, CRA, and Dodd-Frank requirements
  • 5Proficiency with loan origination systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • 6Familiarity with MortgagebotLOS is a plus
  • 7Commercial and investment property lending experience is a plus
  • 8Excellent organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented and able to handle deadlines
  • 9Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of non-public personal and financial information
  • 10Willingness to work overtime during periods of high loan volume
