Own daily operations of the mobile service department, coordinating repairs, technicians, and customer communication. You will report to the Service Manager and work with Cummins RapidServe, Eaton Real Time, and Decisiv to manage work orders. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with parts, warranty, sales, and leadership. What You'll Do10
- 1Assign work to technicians based on skill level, certifications, and availability using Decisiv.
- 2Open and process warranty claims through Eaton Real Time and Cummins RapidServe.
- 3Monitor repair progress to meet estimated completion times and customer commitments.
- 4Document customer concerns and repair requests accurately on repair orders.
- 5Communicate daily with customers on estimates, progress, and service updates.
- 6Coordinate with the credit department to maintain account status for all repair orders.
- 7Review technician write-ups for accuracy and completeness.
- 8Close and process all repair orders within 48 hours.
- 9Reconcile technician timekeeping records daily.
- 10Conduct performance evaluations and support technician training plans.
Requirements9
- 12+ years in a heavy-duty truck dealership service department.
- 2Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- 3Proven ability to maintain strong relationships with customers and employees.
- 4Demonstrated ability to motivate and support technician teams.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- 6Experience with Dealer Business Systems (DBS) preferred.
- 7Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- 8Ability to perform basic math with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- 9Frequently stand, walk, and lift up to 10 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
