Mobile Fleet Mechanic - Construction Equipment | All Star Rents
Overview
You'll own maintenance and repair for a fleet of construction equipment across the Bay Area, working solo at customer sites. You'll troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems on MEWPs and other gear. You'll join a family-owned company with 13 locations and a 90-day Bootcamp training program. This role keeps regular hours, no nights or weekends, and includes a company vehicle.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform maintenance and PMs on MEWPs, forklifts, and other construction equipment at customer sites.
- 2Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and diesel issues using diagnostic tools and schematics.
- 3Complete aerial quality control inspections per ANSI standards and document results.
- 4Stock and organize your service truck, maintaining tool inventory and cleanliness.
- 5Communicate with dispatchers and customers to schedule repairs and provide status updates.
- 6Load and unload equipment for deliveries, ensuring safe transport and compliance with safety rules.
- 7Attend Bootcamp training for 90 days to master All Star Rents service procedures.
- 8Support senior mechanics on complex rebuilds, gaining hands-on experience with Cummins and Deutz engines.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of heavy equipment maintenance, preferably on construction equipment.
- 22+ years experience with MEWPs and strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems.
- 3Valid CA driver's license with satisfactory record; Class A is a plus.
- 4Ability to lift 50 lbs unaided and work in varying weather conditions.
- 5Computer literacy with basic software and typing skills.
- 6Professional communication in English, both written and verbal; bilingual a plus.
- 7Pass a background check and 4-panel drug screening; choose a drug-free lifestyle.
- 8At least 18 years old with proof of eligibility to work in the US.
