The Home Depot seeks a Mobile Service Mechanic to lead maintenance and repairs for light construction equipment across Denver area stores. This role involves traveling locally to ensure equipment reliability while fostering strong relationships with customers and staff. Successful candidates will drive operational efficiency and maintain high safety standards.
What You'll Do11
- 1Train associates and customers on equipment operation and safety protocols
- 2Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance on skid steers chippers trenchers and mini excavators
- 3Maintain accurate parts inventory in vehicles and shops while managing fleet logistics
- 4Ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Department of Transportation standards
- 5Deploy new equipment to locations perform delivery training and documentation using company technology platforms
- 6Respond to service requests order replacement parts and coordinate equipment transfers between sites
- 7Inspect equipment for rental readiness perform minor repairs and document all work performed
- 8Assist with scheduling and manage travel requirements with minimal overnight trips
- 9Maintain MEWP certifications and adhere to vehicle compliance standards
- 10Collaborate with regional managers to align short term and long term goals
- 11Adapt to dynamic field conditions while meeting strict physical and safety demands
Requirements11
- 118 years of age or older with valid US work authorization
- 2Minimum 3 years experience servicing construction equipment including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
- 3Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using small engines hydraulics and diagnostic tools
- 4Ability to lift from waist height climb equipment and work in extreme outdoor environments
- 5Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- 6Excellent written verbal communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- 7Proficiency with inventory management systems and mobile technology platforms
- 8Customer focused mindset with proven ability to build lasting relationships
- 9Resilient attitude for unpredictable field conditions
- 10Associate’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred
- 11No prior leadership experience required
