What You'll Do12
- 1Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms under radiologist direction
- 2Conduct breast ultrasound procedures as directed
- 3Assist radiologists during interventional breast procedures and biopsies
- 4Maintain patient records in Epic system
- 5Execute daily QC/QA processes including weekly phantom testing
- 6Prepare pathology reports and coordinate follow-up appointments
- 7Educate patients about scheduled procedures
- 8Meet with patients to discuss biopsy outcomes
- 9Update procedure books with pathology findings
- 10Notify healthcare providers of patient status
- 11Schedule breast diagnostic studies using Epic
- 12Manage department inventory and maintain equipment cleanliness
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or certificate program completion
- 2Less than 1 year professional experience in breast screening/diagnostic procedures
- 3BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- 4ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography
- 5Colorado provisional mammography license accepted
- 6Knowledge of digital mammography equipment and patient-specific adjustments
- 7Ability to interpret physician orders for mammograms and breast imaging
- 8Strong communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration
- 9Commitment to maintaining image quality standards
